Nicholas & Emily Renzulli

Nicholas A. Renzulli is a fourth-generation Westport, Connecticut native, shaped by a deep sense of place, family history, and an early appreciation for making things by hand. His introduction to architecture began not with buildings, but with models—working in New York City at an Entertainment and Hospitality architecture firm on 57th Street, where ideas were shaped slowly and deliberately, and where he learned to see design as a quiet dialogue between imagination and craft.

In 2014, Nicholas returned home to Westport, creating design drawings for local construction companies and spending time in the in-between—where lines on paper become something real. It was here that he discovered the importance of integration: when design decisions are informed by how things are built, and construction is guided by intention rather than reaction. This philosophy took form in 2015 with his first Design + Build project, a private residential art gallery, where architecture, art, and craftsmanship were allowed to speak to one another.

Nicholas approaches each project with a respect for history and an openness to possibility. He is drawn to spaces that feel lived-in rather than overworked, and to details that reveal themselves slowly over time. His work often reflects a balance between old and new—honoring what came before while making room for contemporary life and expression.

Today, Nicholas creates environments for clients who think beyond convention—risk takers, collectors, and lovers of art and history—people drawn to spaces with soul, intention, and enduring character. His work is rooted in place, guided by craft, and driven by the belief that architecture should feel as personal as the stories it holds.
